PA Notary Agent Terms of Agreement: Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
At PA Notary Agent, we're dedicated to providing convenient, reliable, and exceptional notary services, whether you need us in person or online. When you book an appointment, we reserve dedicated time and resources for your service, including travel for mobile appointments or preparing our secure online platform for Remote Online Notarization (RON) sessions. To ensure we can continue offering high-quality service to all our clients, please review our policy regarding cancellations and rescheduling:
1. General Appointments (Mobile & RON, excluding Loan Signings)
24-Hour Cancellation/Reschedule Window: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment without any charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. This gives us enough time to adjust our schedule and serve other clients.
Late Cancellation Fee:
For Mobile Appointments: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your scheduled mobile appointment time will incur a $50 late cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the time we've set aside and travel preparation.
For RON Appointments: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your scheduled RON appointment time will incur a $25 late cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the time we've set aside and administrative preparation.
No-Show Policy:
For Mobile Appointments: If our Notary Agent arrives at the agreed-upon location and the signer isn't present or can't be reached within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, it will be considered a "No-Show." No-show mobile appointments will be charged the full travel/convenience fee associated with the booking, in addition to the $50 late cancellation fee.
For RON Appointments: If the signer fails to join the online session or can't be reached within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time, it will be considered a "No-Show." No-show RON appointments will be charged the $25 late cancellation fee.
2. Notary Refusal to Notarize
Our Notary Agents adhere strictly to Pennsylvania Notary Public laws and regulations. If a notarization can't be completed due to circumstances beyond the Notary Agent's control (e.g., signer lacks valid ID, signer isn't present, signer is unwilling or unaware, document is incomplete, or the Notary Agent suspects fraud), the scheduled travel/convenience fee (for mobile appointments) and/or the applicable late cancellation fee ($50 for mobile, $25 for RON) will still apply. This compensates our Notary Agent for their time and travel/session preparation.
3. How to Cancel or Reschedule
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible by calling 484-619-8133 or by replying to your confirmation email at info@panotary.com. You may also be able to manage your appointment directly through your online booking confirmation link.
4. Payment & Refunds
The notarial act fees ($5 per signature as per PA law) are due at the time of service. Travel/convenience fees for mobile appointments and technology/platform fees for RON appointments may be collected at the time of booking or at the appointment. If a cancellation fee applies, it will be charged to the payment method on file or collected prior to future bookings. Refunds for eligible cancellations (i.e., those made outside the 24-hour window, for any upfront fees collected) will be processed within 3-5 business days to the original method of payment.
